What you do when you meet with a housing counselor is sit down and make sure you understand all aspects of your loan, make sure if there is a term that you donít understand, go ahead and ask the question and say so. This person is not going to hold it over your head, it's not personal to them, they are trying to help you and it's not going to cost you anything either, you know emotionally or financially. We want to make sure that you understand the terms of your loan modification so that you donít experience any surprises later on down the road.
