Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria have left thousands of homeowners across the U.S. scrambling to fix their properties and return to a sense of normalcy. Choosing the right contractor is just the first step in that long process.

Residents across the U.S. are still in the process of assessing the damage wrought by storms this hurricane season. In Texas and Louisiana, around 100,000 homes were affected by Hurricane Harvey and the flooding it caused, according to White House estimates. Hurricane Irma destroyed nearly 25% of the homes in the Florida Keys and damaged even more, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
